I haven’t gotten out much since Covid started. An exception is my recent solo ascent of Peak 5738 via its seldom climbed NW face. I am aware of only one previous ascent of this route (undocumented). Peak 5738 is NTD, but does involve considerable exposure. The ascent required extensive route prep.

Preparing for the alpine style summit attempt up the newly cleaned route. The route follows the fall line, and for the most part requires skill at friction climbing.
Nearing the summit after most of the technical difficulties overcome. The summit of 5738 is the broad flat ridge to my right. The peak is similar to the mesas of the U.S. southwest familiar to offwidth. Mt. Kinesava comes to mind, although the rock on Kinesava is considerably looser, and involves a much higher degree of objective hazards. Cactus for example are not native to Pk. 5738
